Ultra-Low Core Loss Performance of Baosteel B27QG120 Silicon Steel Laminated Core

Core loss is the core evaluation index of transformer lamination quality, and raw material quality is the fundamental factor affecting iron loss performance. We exclusively use high-purity Baosteel B27QG120 cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel, a high-end electrical steel material with uniform thickness, high magnetic permeability and extremely low hysteresis loss, professionally developed for high-efficiency power transformers.

In strict accordance with international Epstein test standards, we conduct professional core loss testing on our assembled laminated cores under the standard working condition of magnetic flux density 1T (50Hz). The actual tested core loss value is only 1.0–1.1 W/kg, which is significantly lower than the conventional industry assembly technical requirements for B27QG120 silicon steel cores. Compared with ordinary laminated cores made of common silicon steel materials in the market, our Baosteel-made cores reduce iron loss by 15%–25% under the same working conditions.

This excellent low-loss performance effectively minimizes no-load loss and no-load current of transformers, reduces grid reactive power consumption, and helps end users greatly cut down long-term electricity operation costs. It fully meets the strict energy efficiency standards of IEC, ISO and mainstream European, American and Southeast Asian power grid projects, making it an ideal choice for high-efficiency energy-saving transformer supporting.

Our Precision Laminated Core Assembly Process

High-quality raw materials require standardized precision assembly to maximize performance. We have formed a mature and rigorous full-process assembly process for Baosteel silicon steel laminated cores, avoiding performance attenuation caused by manual errors and irregular operation, and ensuring consistent and stable product quality.

1. Raw Material Pre-Inspection & Processing

All incoming Baosteel B27QG120 silicon steel sheets undergo 100% incoming inspection, including magnetic performance test, thickness tolerance detection and surface quality check. We adopt precision laser cutting and automatic slitting technology to replace traditional mechanical shearing, effectively avoiding material deformation, burrs and edge stress concentration. The precise dimensional control ensures zero gap matching of laminated sheets and eliminates extra magnetic loss caused by assembly gaps.

2. Layer-by-Layer Lamination & Symmetrical Assembly

We implement staggered lamination and symmetrical three-phase assembly technology. Professional operators stack silicon steel sheets layer by layer in strict accordance with magnetic circuit design standards, ensuring uniform lamination density and completely symmetrical three-phase magnetic circuit. This process eliminates unbalanced electromagnetic force during transformer operation, effectively reducing operating noise and vibration, and improving the core’s overall structural stability. The lamination factor is strictly controlled within the industry’s top standard to maximize magnetic flux utilization rate.

3. High-Precision Calibration & Fastening

After lamination is completed, we use professional precision calibration equipment to correct the core flatness, verticality and overall dimensional accuracy. Adopting high-strength insulating fasteners and non-magnetic fixing accessories, the core is integrally fastened without damaging the silicon steel sheet insulation layer. It effectively prevents core looseness and displacement during long-term high-load operation, avoiding magnetic leakage and performance degradation, and greatly improving the transformer’s anti-short-circuit capability and operational stability.

4. Full Performance Testing Before Delivery

Each finished laminated core will pass a complete set of performance tests before leaving the factory, including core loss detection at 1T magnetic flux density, insulation performance test, dimensional tolerance inspection and magnetic circuit stability test. Only products that fully meet and exceed industry standards can be packaged and delivered, ensuring zero defective products for export orders.

Standard Export-Grade Packaging Solution

For global export business, we tailor professional and durable export packaging for laminated transformer cores to avoid damage, deformation, moisture and rust during long-distance sea transportation and multi-times handling, ensuring product integrity upon arrival.

1. Internal Anti-Corrosion & Moisture-Proof Protection

The surface of each laminated core is first covered with a professional anti-rust oil film and wrapped with high-toughness waterproof and dustproof PE film. All gaps are filled with shockproof foam to fix the core position and prevent friction collision and extrusion deformation during transportation. Meanwhile, we place high-efficiency desiccants inside the package to completely isolate moisture and prevent silicon steel sheets from oxidation and rust.

2. Outer Reinforced Wooden Box Packaging

All cores are packed in thickened and fumigated export solid wooden boxes, which comply with international export fumigation standards and sea transportation requirements. The wooden boxes are reinforced with iron corners and iron belts around the edges to enhance compression resistance and drop resistance. The overall packaging structure is firm and durable, adapting to harsh sea transportation environments and long-term container storage.

3. Standard Marking & Batch Traceability

Each outer box is printed with clear and standardized export marks, including product model, material grade (Baosteel B27QG120), quantity, size, weight, production batch, inspection number and shipping marks. Complete batch records ensure full product traceability, facilitating customers’ customs clearance, warehouse management and subsequent after-sales service.

4. Customized Packaging Support

We support customized packaging solutions according to customer requirements and regional import standards, including carton packaging, plywood box packaging and pallet integrated packaging, to meet different transportation and storage needs of global customers.
